Moon base volunteers emerge after 110 days in isolation

As China reaches into space,the moon looms large among its plans with acrewed outpost a likely long-term plan.And that's where the Yuegong-1,or Lunar Palace,at Beijing’s Beihang University comes in.Four volunteers this week emerged from 110 days of isolation in whatis avirtual lunar lab.It was their second stint inside the facility after a previous 60-day stay which had been followed by a second group of four who stayed inside for 200 days.The lab was sealed with no input from outsiede. Crops were grown and animals raised inside the module to feed the volunteers.
